Just when the promotions of the film were catching on, The Shaukeens’ heroine Lisa Haydon is down with dengue. The actress was diagnosed with the disease two-three days ago when she was at the Bigg Boss 8 set in Karjat. This has nearly brought the promotions to a halt especially since the film was on track in keeping with its early November deadline.
When contacted, producer Ashwin Varde confirmed the news. He said, “Its unfortunate, but Lisa has fallen prey to dengue. Shes undergoing blood tests every day so the doctors can keep a check on her platelet count. If it slips, its bad news but so far it hasnt. It has only been showing improvements every day. Shes at home, resting. The disease can be fatal and leaves the sufferer extremely weak, but Lisa is looking after herself very well. We hope and pray she resumes the promotions soon.”
